My name is Andrew Mitchell and I am the founder and president of Rooted Connections. I am originally from Long Beach, California, but I was raised in Fort Worth, Tx. I started in this business after graduating from Texas Christian University in May of 2022 with my degrees in Journalism and African American studies. I chose not to pursue a career in my degree field and embark on my entrepreneurial journey because of the freedom and opportunity that comes with it. My vision when starting Rooted Connections was to cultivate an environment of diverse, high achievement, opportunity, and personal development and unity. My passion is to give opportunities, as well as develop the leaders of tomorrow.

My name is Dominique. I was born and raised in Abidjan, Côte D'Ivoire; a city in west Africa known for it's amazing cuisine. I have a bachelor's degree in economics and managerial science. I came to America looking for a better education and learning a second language. Rooted Connections gave me a promising opportunity at a long-lasting career in an environment full of diversity and self development. When I'm not at work, I'm usually making foufou and gumbo.

My name is Precious, I was born in Dallas, but I've moved around alot. My favorite thing about this career path, is that I see growth every day: mind, body and soul. While also learning to give that right back to others. In my free time, I like to draw, dance and work out. For the future, I plan to own a branch and personal train on the side.

My name is Jared Johnson. I am 25 years old from Dallas, TX. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in business. I was searching for a place that I could grow and develop as a leader in order to help motivate others to do the same. In my free time I like to golf and go to sporting events.

My name is Alexander. I was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I left the country and came to Dallas, Texas for better career opportunities. I attended Midwestern State University, where I received my associate’s degree in Computer Science. I chose my career at Westway because it gave me a new insight on myself as well as help me improve on my social skills/business skills. I’m grateful for the development and the mentorship received here at Rooted Connections making me a better person and overall better businessman.

When I'm not at work, I'm usually making music or spending time with family.

My name is Cameron Jones. I’m 25 years old and I am a former military police officer. Following my time in the military I was searching for an opportunity where I would be fulfilled by being able to lead and develop people like I did during my military career as well as having the opportunity to change the lives of my wife and children financially. In my free time I enjoy the gun range,gaming,and sports.

My name is Tajahya. I am originally from Minnesota, but after traveling around and outside of the United States over the last several years, I decided to set my roots here in New Orleans with my son after falling in love with the community and culture. After I obtained my degrees in Liberal Arts, History, and Sociology, I transitioned to a pre-law track majoring in Paralegal Studies. My experiences and education have taught me to acknowledge and learn from the past, but always strive for continuous and positive change. Each decision I have made has been with the intention of living a better life and becoming a better version of myself every day. Rooted Connections has provided me with the foundation, tools, and support to be able to create the future I imagine and grow in ways I couldn't have done on my own.

My name is Corey Kraus. i was born and raised here in New Orleans. My favorite thing about this program is i get to build and grow my mindset and teach others how to do the same. So far in the program, I’ve learned valuable problem solving skills and how to over come challenges. In my free time, I like going to the gym and playing video games.

My name is William. Im originally from Monroe la but recently moved down south to bring more adventure, culture, and diversity into my life. I strive to push myself to accomplish my goals and become my higher self. Rooted connections has given me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. In my free time I enjoy cooking,reading, and going on walks in the park.
